Tips for your trip to
Madrid
- The Prado Museum and Madrid’s other art museums offer free admission on certain days and hours.  However, these times can be a lot more crowded, so be sure to get your ticket in advance or book a guided tour.  You can also check out other free museums in Madrid.
- The visits to the Royal Palace are limited. To visit the palace, you can either book a guided tour or purchase a ticket for an unguided visit with a specific timeslot.
- Any time is good for traveling to Madrid, but personally, I recommend that you visit in spring or autumn, when it’s not too hot and it almost never rains. May,  June, September and October are the best months to visit Madrid.
- To give you an idea of the city and visit the most important things, you will need at least 3 days. Although, ideally, it would be 5 days.
- There are many ways of sightseeing in Madrid; by bus, taxi or even transports like Cabify or Uber. But, undoubtedly, the best and the cheapest way to get around the city is by metro or on foot.

Covid-19 updates
- The night-time curfew has been lifted.
- Restaurants, bars and cafés may open from 6am to 1am. Groups are limited to a maximum of 6 people indoors and 8 people outdoors.
- Night clubs and other late night venues are now allowed to open till 3am. New customers will not be allowed in after 2am. Drinks may be ordered but not consumed at the bar. Masks must be kept on at all times except when eating and drinking. It is not permitted to dance indoors and is only allowed outdoors if social distancing is possible and masks are worn.
- Smoking outdoors in public places is forbidden if and when a 2-metre distance cannot be maintained.
- The maximum capacity is 50% in most enclosed spaces (such as hotels, restaurants, bars, places of worship and sports facilities), and 75% in cultural venues (like museums, monuments, theatres and cinemas), outdoor cafés and restaurants, and shopping centres.
